I found this song to be incredibly interesting in its musicality. Instrumentation was fascinating. Slightly melancholic, but also whimsical in a certain way. Were your vocals doubled? I really enjoyed it.
I found this song to be adorable and enjoyable. I love the message and it has a light-heartedness that I really appreciate. Let’s live life well and with meaning. Thank you !
Thank you, all. I appreciate your comments. Working on the guitar part now. Cheers, HV
I can relate to the lyrics and feel similarly about being a stranger in a strange place and feeling disoriented. I like the structure and the overall feeling. I agree with RDM that the vocals could be more forward. Thanks for posting!
Despite the bitterness of the lyrics, I found this to be musically beautiful and was taken by the singing and groove. Thank you for posting!
Cheers,
HV
I just made a new fleshed out version of this song. Hope you enjoy it. https://youtu.be/ggdTyWaVklw
Thank you, Chris. I will continue working on it this week-end. Grateful for your comments and listening as ever!
Thank you RDM for listening and commenting. I wanted to put some unexpected elements in there that presented a different mood. I already have a new idea for an instrumental part, so looking forward to working on that. Cheers, HV
I enjoyed this and found it sweet. I also wrote a song called Simple Things and it's about the same thing - enjoyment of the little things in life. Thank you for sharing a special song.
Always a pleasure listening to your songs, Chris! In your signature style, this is upbeat and optimistic, which I really appreciate. I like the French Riviera references and the message that you can do a lot with simplicity. Kudos to you!
Thank you so much, Chris. I've been working on it!
Thank you RDM. I appreciate your listening and commenting. :)
Love it! A lot of fun and great energy. It reminds me of the 80's in some way - the vibrancy and nostalgia. Great work, Chris. Happy holidays to you!

Thank you, Chris. I know I'm pushing it with the free flowing strange first draft-ness of this song, but I feel like it will lead to something better.
Wow, this is one of the most lively and vibrant songs I've heard on a forum. I loved it immediately for its fun energy, great craftsmanship, super vocals and a level of professionalism that is inspiring. Great job and congratulations!
Hi Chris,
Another well-crafted song in your signature style. I like that you used tarot cards from the major arcana in the lyrics that describe the unattainable "runaround Sue"-type character you speak of. I listened to the SoundCloud ver…

Thank you, both! I love these rough drafts since I don't know where they can go. I appreciate your comments and feel that life can only get better from here. Hope you're doing great!
I smiled througout this whole song. Love it! You're right. It's one big cosmic joke and we should all take it lightly. I love the line, "we're all illegals except Native America Sioux." So much craziness in this world. The song reminds me o…
