The Story of my Life

I wrote this short song a few years ago. I'm really not sure where the inspiration for the lyrics came from, but I managed to compose the music and eventually record a backing track. However, I used a freelance singer for the vocals (as my voice is definitely not great) and a freelance videographer to produce the video.

Verse 1

I stand alone where no one else can see me,

this place I've seen, so many times before.

As I reflect upon the many lies between us,

my wasted tears keep falling gently to the floor.

Chorus 1

Why do I feel this way?

Is it just another day when I think I'm the only

one that's feeling sad and lonely?

It's just the story of my life.

Verse 2

The darkness wanes, another day is dawning,

yet, still the demons race around my head.

I think of all the things you really should have told me,

and all the truthful words I wish that I had said.

Chorus 2

Why do I feel this way?

Is it just another day when I think I'm the only

one that's feeling sad and lonely?

It's Just the story of my life.
