    Heart-wrenching lyrics! Reading your lyrics makes you feel for those who suffer through the horrors of war. And God knows, there's always enough of that going 'round 😢

    I think this is excellent Sid! Really tugs on the emotions. Beautifully written.

    My favorite phrase is "to a lullaby of gunfire "

    I'll offer some suggestions, but it's already so good. Likely just personal preferences.

    • Before the sun comes up again → Before the sun rises up again
    • A dozen more children will die → How many more children will die?

    Indeed Sid, peace is a long time coming - too long. Could be about at least 2 mjor conflicts in the world right now, and more. You have a way with words and this says it all.

    Away from war, I haven't forgotten about your rock song - I've just been a bit tied up with one thing and another this last week or two. I was strumming the guitar yesterday and I'll get on to it soon as I can.😀
