Call Me A Liar
Hi everyone... I have an anniversary coming up with my wife and gave her this song which is a bit more romantic than my "Alleluia" song, which was meant more of a thank you song. This is a duet, a reflection of some of the conversations we've had over the years.
Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I Verse
W- When I’m 40 years old, are you gonna trade me in for two 20’s and a corvette?
M- Get that out of your head. You haven’t aged a day, and you’re prettier than when we first met
Bridge
W- You’re only lying ‘cos we’re married. Better get your glasses from the bed
Chorus
Call me a liar, baby
As you turn the lights down low
Ask me, honey, all the things you want to know
You call me a liar, baby
But, I’m in love with you so
II Verse
W- And if the moon starts to wane, with the stars all in your eyes, could another take you from me?
M- What’s gotten into your head? You’re my Shakespeare’s Juliet, you’re my Forrest Gump’s little Jenny
Bridge
W- I love it when you sound like Forrest, but you’re more Pinocchio, just the same
Chorus
Call me a liar, baby
As you turn the lights down low
Ask me, honey, all the things you want to know
You call me a liar, baby
But, I’m in love with you so

This is the start of a great song - I think there needs to be another verse at least

Funny, you should say:
II Verse
W- Do these make me look fat, and will you promise me the truth if my make-up becomes a wreck?
M- Now, get that out of your head… ‘cos you don’t need that stuff, and those little Levi genes fit perfect
Bridge
W- You’re only lying ‘cos we’re married, and aren’t those your glasses on the bed?
I gave the edited version to my wife because it was creating a mess with Suno getting the gender roles right. I since then got it, and will give it to her later... she loves the two-verse version, so why ruin the moment?

Sure rub it in 😉😂
Did you intend on having only the male and only the a female. sing each section. not sure what you promoted in the lyrics, did you put [Male] , [Fema;le] in the lyrics? I've done that, but with mixed successes.
Otherwise, it sounds good, but then it's AI, and AI cannot produce a bad track, trust me I've tried :)

Hi B... maybe, the Suno productions aren't bad... but what is intended may become a puzzle.
I instructed the gender roles in the lyrics, themselves. As I did all the parts, Suno had to take instructions from there.
The duet was a bit more complicated for Suno, so I made it a bit simpler. And so there it is.

I really like this song it was sincere right up to Forest Gump , then the novelty lost me

This one feels very specific to your relationship, which is an absolute strength when you're writing it to give her on an anniversary! But can make it a little harder for a more general listener to put themselves into the picture. But the latter isn't the priority here :)
I hope she loves it! It feels like something she should recognize, and set to some lovely music.

Hi Rainy, I was hoping that couples could relate to this. I don't get how this isn't something people; married people, specifically, can relate to? I have a hard time believing that this is something that is only specific to my relationship. What's so unique, here, that others can't relate to?
I guess everyone has their own unique perspective.

Not in the 37 years my late wife and I were married did this discussion ever come up. the other issue is when you have inside references or jokes that may not relate, like the forest gump reference. never saw the movie, so not sure the significance, I can guess. we had a running joke of perpetual 88 years, but outside the marriage it had little context.

That's too bad... we've always have had a playful relationship.
And you haven't seen "Forrest Gump"?? You have to be kidding???
it's a movie masterpiece.

Shocking, but no, out of the thousands of movies I've watched over the decades. that wasn't one of them., never looked appealing

Predictably excellent. I'm not saying the song is "predictable". . . it's just the excellence of each song that is easy to take for granted because it is so consistent. I loved this duet.

Thanks, H... I guess for some, here, at TSF, it's too personal of a song to relate to.
I'm happy you get it, and like it.
