Your like my sweet melody replaces My little sunshine. since a melody would relate with sunshine it works

For me, this one hits its straps at V2. The specifics of the dances etc land well. I found V1 a little too generic.
The other thing I'd point to is that the "sunshine" metaphor is barely utilized. Beyond "You're my little sunshine" there's nothing really sunshine related. That's a choice you can make, but it seems like a lost opportunity. In what way is she like sunshine?
The melody and overall sound are a good fit for ukulele. But then, you've got that down pat!
