Great Acoustic Folk Rock Singer/songwriters
Hi everyone...
I've been blown away by the covers of my songs. I primarily play acoustic guitar, having been since I started at 15. But I was never fortunate enough to be able to develop my skills to the height that Suno displays with its intricate guitar playing.
My question is: are there ANY artists out there writing and playing music similar to the covers I've been making of my music?
I would love to "get into" some awesome acoustic guitar players and writers.
They must be out there.
Thanks

So let me make sure I understand. You're way embraced in artificial music, you don't really like your own stuff unless it's done on an artificial platform. But you're looking to do a collaboration with somebody and you don't want it to be artificial? Heck yeah I'm a pretty good singer song writer, sounds good to me. What part of the world are you in? How would you like to proceed?

If you're after someone to listen to, I'd recommend Joshua Lee Turner, either on his own, or as part of The Other Favorites, or with Allison Young as The Bygones.
Here's a link to an album Unamericana on spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/3AsasEnnQAQqL9Yvl1kklR

What the hell are you talking about?
I love my music... and I'm more than pleased to hear my music covered in such a way as Suno does.
As far as collaboration... again, what are you talking about.
I just want someone to turn me on to some exquisite acoustic music. That's all.
Do you have any suggestions?

a quick search on google might turn up what you're looking for:
human acoustic guitarists that sound as good as the articficial ones on Suno

I found this and found this interestingly put. I've known all along and feel the same as this guy. I think this is worth sharing:

You basically have to practice 6 hours a day to become a proficient player
I think Billy Strings is the best player around

Why don't you promote something original: https://soundcloud.com/ironknee-877134982/i-aint-no-angel?si=ccdd3cfcb4bb4d5bb36d3ba977262b66&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

Do you have a younger brother? If I tell him to listen to someone he hasn't heard of, he will NOT listen to me. I can't get him to listen to my own songs, much less yours. I'm not actually joking.

You're right of course. Everybody now is writing WAY better stuff than these guys did.

Oh man. That's four times in this lifetime alone that I've now been wrong. 'o)

I hear ya... unless it's music that everyone is talking about, no one really cares to listen to something new. And I have to disagree with you... There is some awesome stuff written back in the hay-day of Folk and Folk-Rock. Much better than most of what is passed off as music today.

This is same bullshit on every site , New music sucks . lost in the past . You did not like your dad saying that . guess what you sound just like him . Not you personaly . In general Old people hate new music . Looking back dad loved new stuff , he tried to stay hip
Something about snorting coke joke oh you gotta find the G spot , he was 65 or something . Staying up with young people
They don't make music like the used to , what a worn out cliche

But, of course, other may have another opinion. I loved Cat Stevens, John Denver, The Beatles, led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones... But I'm ssuurree there are song/writer performers wwwaaayyy better than they, these days, they just don't come to mind 😉

Actually Tom, my comment was mildly sarcastic.

YOU WROTE: "This is same bullshit on every site. New music sucks . lost in the past . You did not like your dad saying that . guess what you sound just like him."
You are assuming a lot with that set of statements. What you assumed is pretty much all wrong. I never said that new music sucks, although I have to admit that to my ears,m a lot of what I hear on the radio does in fact "suck" compared to what I heard in the sixties, seventies, and eighties. That doesn't mean I hate all new music. I hear incredible stuff on Soundcloud all the time (including things from Tom and Stoneflowers and others right here). I did NOT "dislike my dad saying that" because he never said it. Music to my dad was a frivolous pursuit that he had no time for. I am NOT "just like him." I admire what he was, but did not try to become him either in musical tastes (of which he had none) or in other ways. I just loved him and respected him.
THEN YOU WROTE: "Not you personaly . In general Old people hate new music . Looking back dad loved new stuff , he tried to stay hip.
I know as many "old people" who have EXPANDED their musical tastes to include the things their "dad's listened to" as I know "old people" who fit your description. Many of those open minded "old people" are right here on this site. My dad never "tried to stay hip." "Staying hip was another of those pursuits he considered too trivial to bother with. I can't say I disagree with him on that count.
To sum up. . . you don't know a thing about me. You don't know a thing about my dad. You don't know a thing about my music, and you don't know that you don't know. I know. . . I know. . . "You were only joking, and I need to lighten up."
