I've done my share of pseudo-soul tracks... Understand its tongue in cheek/a quick one - I do my share of those too (in fact just uploaded one)...
I like the vibe and music - if you were to rescue it - other than as a parody I don't know if it works - either push it all the way over into Weird Al "One More Minute" territory or dial some of the references back

The origin of this song is that fact that you never explained why she booted him down the track in your song Come on home, you kind of left that hanging. This gives that explanation in the most ABSURD way.
It's supposed to be mundane. THAT"S the point.
Too funny, you took a nonsense song and tried to make it serious. Why would I spend more than 5 mins on honing junk lyrics to test word phrasing? If I wanted to write a more serious song, I would have.
This song as I was writing it, gave me the idea for two new songs,
1 The chorus I'm going to repurpose into a more serious song.
2 The concept of standing behind the door is, when my friend got dumped unceremoniously in my other song Single Black Rose, This music, is going to be used explore that concept. not sure which direction yet.
