It's getting there, i'm going to stop futzing with it :)
[Verse 1]
I'm a man runnin from empty guns
Pursued by imaginary phantoms
The cold metallic sounds
Hammers falling all around
The pressure, the pressure, the pressure
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhggggggg
[Refrain]
I am not blind, yet cannot see
My paralyzing reality
[Interlude]
[Verse 2][Rap][Spoken Word][Belting]
Tears of blood from eyes weep
Into cracked bare soul seeps
Scars on my arms worn
Signs of crosses born
To the gods I plead
The cause for persecution
Am I not worth, worth
ABSOLUTION!
[Guitar solo]
[Refrain]
I am not blind, yet cannot see
My paralyzing reality
[Outro][Spoken word]
I am a man runnin from empty guns
[Powerful][Defiant]
That's who I am
THAT"S WHO I AAAAAAAM!

Yeah, that’s a good one. But maybe you could improve the lyrics a little so we can better understand what’s going on or have something to think about. I know you’re talking about pressure but in my opinion we can’t really feel it yet. Once you work on that, I think it will be pretty good. Or maybe if you can explain would be cool too. I like hidden meanings on songs.

So you're a outlaw now Bill ?
Sounds good man

No, A tortured soul. I used to carve inverted crosses in my arms in class to freak people out. now, they call that cutting and a cry for help,
0 -
what does running from an empty gun mean to you? The first two lines I state the issue :)
0 -
Thats is a cry for help . Normal people don't carve themselves up with knifes
0 -
Wasn't a knife. I had taken a few paper clips and after a little effort, managed to get the through the pencil so that it was barbed, and it wasn't a cry for help. people called me freak, so I became a freak. after that, they left me alone. but this has nothing to do with the song per se.

You brought it up , ok so you're a tortured soul , No worries
0 -
you called me an outlaw, which isn't correct :).. 😂 but this has nothing to do with the song
0 -
I stand corrected your not a outlaw , your a tortured soul in your song
0 -
I'm curious, how you saw outlaw in the song :)
0 -
Probably the guns . The violence
0 -
The gun is empty.

The nightmare man
0 -
ok. that makes no sense, but I'll let it go. this is one of those songs that either you understand or you don't, which is fine.
0 -
The whole song is a nightmare , why is that not easy to understand ? You write in parables , it's your style of writing . You're fond of reaching into the dark aspects of the soul , its a not bad thing , its your persona
0 -
I don't write in parables. there is no simple moral concept, this song is about evoking an emotion, whatever that is. You get out if it, it's a nightmare, then that's what the song is about. If you get nothing out of it then that's fine also. Honestly, this song was written for a subclass of people that when they read it, will identify.

Thats what I got out of it , there's no argument Bill . I still liked it
1 -
Not an argument, just a discussion 😀0
-
ha ha , last song you gave us hope , this one its just dark with no solutions
0 -
Isn’t that what life is about? Sometimes there is only resolution0
-
No life is nothing but problems and solutions, at least my life . My whole day runs like that. Like right trying to find 1250 feet of LVT for a job , it's one long 4 day marathon . Using AI for cost evaluation , cuz my writing is messy . this guy spend 10000,s on a eduction for a PHD , now he's bored and opening a Gym in San Fran . They 'll never be a resolution on life . But its a song so no resolution

Sometimes there is a point in life, things are just broken. You can't fix them. Not for everybody, but there is a point where you are told there is nothing that can be done. No pill, Therapy or God will fix it. so, you have to resign yourself of the truth.
0 -
Yes you can you can fix everything and live with the the alternative solution , thats the whole point of life or give up . The ones who gave up are in a traffic jamb at 5pm
Which gives an idea for a song . "You Can Fix Everything "

you know there are 22 comments on this post, only 2 relate to the actual song itself, the rest is just our witty banter.

ha ha ha , right well you see my friends thats how you get ideas . Co writers do this all the time in Nashville , bs about life , ok now lets write it
0 -
Yeah, I think most people are talking about themselves in their songs even when it’s about love.
0 -
There's no point having this exist, just to exist :). I can guarantee that if we both write from the same topic, will be vastly different, yours is all outlaw cowboyie with wolves howling at the moon and mine will start innocent, then descend into chaos and mayhem in a blender - kind of like that joke, what's green and red and goes 100 miles an hour - a frog in a blender 😂

ha ha ha right

That depends on the song and the genre. yes, in Elvis, Owens, Toms and Stone's world that true, because that's the nature of their genre. when you delve into the prog / experimental, then it's different. you're expressing the same thing, but it's more about describing feeling that telling feeling. In this song, I'm not directing you how to feel, I want to experience what you feel yourself. when you read the lines, I want you to self-reflect and think what it means to you. There is an underlying message in this song, but it's personal to me. you may not get the seam read, and I don't want to skew your perception.
