Hmm..2 different takes. Both the same but different if you know what I mean. I think the first take is lovely so I'm not sure that re-working has really added anything.. A great song either way.😀

The lyric feels sad to me. Her existence an escape rather than a joy.
With that in mind, I think the first version gives that contrast with the sadder feel to the music. But I do like the duet. Don't know how instructable Suno is, but a duet version of #1 would be very interesting!

Thanks Owen. Suno is hit and miss sometimes. You're ok if you stick with the popular genres, however, Suno struggles when you get into the more complicated pieces.

Thanks Tom. wish the melody was 100% mine, but no. I have a complete arraignment in my head of how I want it to sound, then it's a matter of creating the prompts to get what I want, only to have it fail. I'm stubborn, so I usually burn a lot of credits to get close. In one song, I wanted to start out with timpani drums to start then slowly fade into french horns then a soprano belting out the first verse to make an epic into, but no what I got sounded like something coming from the bowels of hell. You bag on your voice, but at least you can play and carry a tune. I've been told my singing sounds like a dying cow and notes that don't exist :)_Once I get some basic music theory and a DAW, I can stop using Suno as a crutch

Bill, I enjoyed both versions, but I loved the remix because it pulled on my heartstrings more than the first. If a song touches the heart, whether, happy, sad, or indifferent, it's the winner.
The flow, vibe, melancholic melody fits the lyrics perfectly.
Great job and it's a keeper for me. I can't wait to hear what's next. :-)
