I am not the best singer so I am really intrigued by this - wanted to know what everyone thinks and if this is a good way moving forward to submit songs???

  • Killer melody — that’s what really makes the song stand out beyond the vocals. Honestly, you don’t have a bad voice at all. If you added some vocal harmonies, your version could hold its own right alongside the Suno track.

But comparing your performance to Suno is apples to oranges.

The real issue is marketability: with your own recording, you fully own it and can monetize without restrictions. With Suno, you need to read the copyright agreement carefully — studios won’t touch it yet, but plenty of producers are finding ways to make money off Suno and other AI-generated audio

I would try just adding backing vocals to your mix and see how that sounds.

Your melodies kind sound familiar . Well everyone is going Suno , you might as well Join them . You don't have to put the work in . put some lyrics in a box your good to go. You could get a vocal instructor , it's pretty hard work 7 hours a day on Do Ri ME's. You basically discipline your self to sing . , Or forget the work do Covers . might as well cut the bullshit , If you don't want to work 7 days a week to sound pro , You might as well stick with covers . 12 hour days , maybe its not worth it . Just do Suno lol

  • I think using Suno allows you to hear the song done in a professional way, and that allows you to focus on the songwriting. It's your lyric and music, and this is as good a version of it as you are likely to hear. Does it work? Are there things that need changing? You are more likely to get comments on the song, and less on your performance of it. There's nothing wrong with doing it yourself, but it's nice to hear it in that polished sound. Perhaps the ultimate test is how many people are listening to it either way?

  • In my SUNO experiments I have found songs I had dismissed or abandoned and recognized they were good and have had songs I’ve hung my hat on and after hearing it polished I realize the song needs a lot of work.

I also have limited my writing to my abilities to play and sing and I haven’t even begun to explore what happens
  • Multiple things. I could hear the potential in your version without Suno. I liked it. The vocal is better with Suno, and the music really hums with the Suno version. QUESTION: This is a Suno "cover" that you made by inputting the audio from your song with vocals. . . correct? Just so you know, if you don't come up with a good version by doing that, you can input your vocals only and get something quite different. And, you know you can also just type in the lyric and come up with totally different music. . . the key to that is to input all the pauses to make it flow as you need. You're obviously well educated about what instrumentation to use. Not everyone who uses Suno (or other A.I.) knows how to do that. For me, this is one of the better A.I. songs I've listened to, and I've done a LOT of listening.

Well there ya go 90% of writers use Suno , Cost of session players and studios are a bit much, its 2 weeks worth of time and money , Where as Suno is 9 seconds and your done

So for forum songs stick with penny Suno songs
