Three Days Ago (lyrics only)

THREE DAYS AGO (lyrics only)
Only three days ago
You said you were leaving
But you're still here
Pretending to be grieving
Only three days ago
My world was a sonnet
An abstract Salvador Dali
With an eight-winged butterfly sitting on it
Whatever happened on the day before this
The cold hands of a mannequin
The cold hearted definance of a twice broken kiss
Only three days ago
I heard you under the awning
Talking to a stranger
All flattery and fawning
Yes three days ago
Wiithout any explanation
With any advance warning
That a new day was dawning
So whatever will happen in the days yet to come
Perhaps a revolution at the altar of the sun
or maybe a shattering of past mistaken belief
It's navigating a mountain
on a map without relief
So three days ago
Everything has changed
But you're standing in the hallway
And you remain the same

I like this a lot. Some lovely imagery. I like the way "eight-winged butterfly" comes across as menacing.
"navigating a mountain, on a map without relief" is another great phrase, as is "twice broken kiss"
Structurally it's unusual, at first glance it has the feel of poetry, which is not to say it can't be set to music. It feels like it will be soft and slow, and that's more amenable to mixed line lengths, and extra lines.
Is "definance" a typo for "defiance"?
I like the final verse being short, and how "remaining the same" becomes an accusation.
It's a fine write, and I hope you set it to music.
