  • Society’s crime
    Verse
    From humble beginnings
    A tentative climb.
    A stain on my name
    I’m society’s crime.
    Chorus
    Was born in the ghetto
    Raised on the street
    By way of complexion
    Primed for defeat.
    Verse
    The city’s my prison.
    My chain is the gang.
    One thing’s for certain I’ll
    Go out with a bang.
    Chorus
    Was born in the ghetto
    Raised on the street
    By way of complexion
    Primed for defeat.
    Verse
    The pushers my warden.
    The needles my god.
I do what I’ve got to
    But can’t beat the odds.
    Bridge
    You can blame economics.
    Say that it’s race
But I say that the system
    Has made me this way.
    Chorus
    Was born in the ghetto
    Raised on the street
    By way of complexion
    Primed for defeat.
    Verse
    From humble beginnings
    A tentative climb.
    A stain on my name
    I’m society’s crime.
    Tag
    Anyway you cut it
    It’s society’s crime.

Ok so your blaming society for being a junkie ?

Sounds good Carrol , Certainly relevant for the Fed Prisons violence and such.

    Basically psychopaths

I absolutely love the lyric as it reads. It just seems wonderfully simple in all the right ways to me. I'll now go and have a listen.

Listening as I type. As I suspected, these short, simple lines are right in Suno's wheelhouse, and the song resonates. Elvis is not wrong that you need a more ethnic voice on this, not just due to the song, but because a key line says it's somewhat about ethnicity. My suggestion would be to be 'ethnically obscure' so it's hard to tell what ethnicity the singer is. I DO know that's easier said than done. . . particularly with Suno. Good luck if you try. 'o)

  • Suno did not follow his instructions , Should be easy enough spin it a few times

You should give a link and lyrics and give feedback to 3 songs , Whitey has no reason to complain , So you need a black singer to prove this song

  • I’ll try again but Suno doesn’t take prompt black male vocals. Any suggestions?

Without getting in some debate , I don't know if blacks sing in the genre you had

Try using "Rhythm and Blues" as a genre prompt (last in the line if you don't really want to influence anything but the vocal) Or, as Elvis said "Hip Hop" or see if there is a genre for "The Detroit Sound" from the sixties/seventies. Motown was what they called it. I'll look around Suno a little because you've triggered my curiousity.

  • Thanks I appreciate it.
