June 2023 on a dive to view the Titanic, the submesible Titan imploded killing all 5 occupants, this may have been the thoughts of one of those.
Envisioned:
Through the eyes of Hamish Harding, explorer and passenger on the Titan.
[verse 1]
Shadows loomed, out of the gloom,
a broken, an' shattered leviathan.
Testament to, man's pride an' greed,
beautiful rose, now covered in weeds.
[verse 2]
All my life, I've sought the thrill,
adventure, above an' under this Earth.
I studied the Titanic, its glorious death,
reasons it sank, spoken in quiet breath.
[chorus]
Bubbles danced, outside the Titan,
barely, three inches from my eye.
Somewhere to see, but never touch,
dead ships an' men's souls lie.
[verse 3]
Over two miles underwater, she lay,
a tombstone, to the innocents who died.
memory, of that night so long ago,
dreams of new lives taken, lie below.
[verse 4]
Only a few, have gazed upon the wreck,
that twisted, and broken body.
Its magnificent grandeur, for all to see,
for only days, then taken by the sea.
[chorus]
Bubbles danced, outside the Titan,
barely, three inches from my eyes.
Somewhere to see, but never touch,
dead ships an' men's souls lie.
[bridge]
There she is, out of the dark, looms large,
her name, in six foot letters, on her bow.
Since I was a child, I've dreamt of this,
all my visions, come together now.
[final chorus]
Bubbles danced, outside the Titan,
barely, three inches from my eyes.
Somewhere to see, but never touch,
dead ships an' men's souls lie.
[outro]
I hold my breath, an take the moment in,
the quietness, is broken by a sound.
The noise of metal, under strain,
I know, I'll never see the sun again.

@sidshovel - another story telling masterpiece. this is why you don't do that :).. wasn't sure about leviathan, it seems to work.

Wowwww...beautiful melody and heartfelt. I love how your songs bring out so many emotions.
Starting with the violin grabbed me.
Well written and storytelling!

I love how dramatic the music is for this one. It's a really tight fit with the lyric.
Great storytelling. Really like the chorus, especially that final line.
I'd love to see the outro tie the fate of the two vessels together somehow. Perhaps:
The curse is happening again.
or something like that.
Good stuff!

@bhengen, @TammyB @RainyDayMan
Sorry for the delay in respoding, almost missed it.
Again my sincere thanks for your time and comments,
apparently, a lot of people in the submersible business warned against the design;
a disaster waitin' to happen.
Thanks again,
Sid
