Original song - Lady Wledyr

This one was written and recorded years ago and is surprisingly clean sounding compared to most of the others. It blends rock, pop, classical music and creates I believe a very unique sound, nothing like I have ever heard.

Lyrically it is a story of royalty circa 1815 but timeless in the moral that having riches does not mean everything will necessarily be good forever.

What do you think of it?

Lyrics:

And you found a new man after the war

A billion Francs and no more

And I saw a portrait of you

You're one of the lucky few

Idling all of your days

And I can't believe I heard the news

It happed so fast you lose

Now a billion Francs won't do

  • Is your aim here to intrigue people to find out more about Lady Wledyr? It certainly works for that.

The lyric by itself isn't enough to convey the whole story, though your narrative with it certainly helps. Even the moral of "money doesn't buy happiness" doesn't quite come off for me because there is no mention of the "doesn't buy happiness' part.

I like the music though, especially the hard panned parts. I think the vocals should probably be center panned though for clarity.

But yes, that mixture of classical and rock really works for me.

I think that this would sound really good live, has that rawness and edge about it,

Same deal I can't hear the vocals , You got some good licks once you learn how to record on a pro level . So Bandcamp you're selling this for a dollar ? How's that working out for you ?

  • "The subjective standards of sound and music quality are quite narrow. This is why if you listen to any major radio stations all the music, without exception, meets a very high standard of quality parameters. Some people can create professional sound quality at home but most can not. Regardless, as long as you're having fun and/or enjoyment doing it that's all that matters."

  • That's a direct quote of a comment rob made on one of my songs months ago. I repost it here in the hope of triggering some self-awareness.

  • At first I was going to say "I swear I said that before. If not we think exactly alike!".

Thanks for listening. I will be significantly upgrading my recording quality and making my pieces more complete.
