Good morning, Songsters! Now that I got that AI dribble out of my system from yesterday, back to what I really like to write about. This song mostly applies to the UNelected; those behind the curtain causing all of the chaos, death and destruction. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hey there Hummer....
They want us to give in and give out.
Who are "they" and what makes you think they want us to cave?
These are the classic questions to be answered in songwriting.
The song "says" a lot, but the imagery is limited.
What you have is really good...it would be nice to have something to anchor those feelings to.

@HummerWisdom ,@IronKnee , - I think they is them, whatever you want them to be. I think it's brilliantly left open to interpretation. It could be your inner demons, political demons, spiritual demons.. not all songs have to have a direct message. I took the song to be inner demons. I think she should keep the lyrics as is. but that's my opinion..

@IronKnee Maybe you missed it: 'They' is stated in V2, line 1; the 'mighty men'. If people can't figure out who the mighty men are based upon the context, I can't help 'em! Thanks for your input. Mighty Men was my NICE way of putting THEM. Perhaps I was too nice but then again if I stated the culprits specifically, I couldn't have posted it here nor there nor anywhere as they own the INTERNET OF THINGS.....fast approaching..

I think you've captured that fighting spirit well in the lyric. Message is nice and clear.
I'm a bit worried about running the lines together in the chorus, making it harder to pick out the words. This is one you want the listener to hear the words properly.
I can imagine a chorus of people backing you up on these lines:
They want us to give up (want us to give up)
But we’re never givin’ up. (never givin' up)

Good song, very anthemic protest song, Phil Ochs style.
Pretty decent effort, ditto RDM's comment re lines running into each other.
Some lines are too long in comparison to the rest,
"We will fight fire with fire with every fiber of our being"
shorten: We'll fight with every fiber of our being.
If it's hard to get out, it'll be hard to take in!

@ElvisNash truth can be pretty depressing at first...but once you get over it, you want more. At least, that's the way it's been for me. Fear? Not so much, anymore. Just the hope that the REAL sh... doesn't hit the fan in my time. I know, that's depressing, too!
