Original song - Billy Borderline Blues
This song was written and recorded at about the same time as my previous posting "Highland Park". The crisp sound is very similar and the subject matter describes the human condition and psychological effects of the family, It's also a little daft, for sure. What do you think?

Lyrics:
Billy was a loser
Big time loser
Always hang around the dive
Now he's got an empty look in his eyes
Billy it's not your fault man
It's your old man
He's a bad man
And his old man was too
There's nothing you can do
Billy we're at the borderline waitin' just for you
We'll guide you through
Billy was a dropout
No they kicked him out
He actually loved school
Now he hangs out
And makes his own rules
Billy it/s not your fault man
It's your old man
He was a bad man
And so was his old man was too
There's just nothing you can do
Billy we're here at the borderline waitin' just for you
We'll get you through

I feel like your last couple of songs have really kicked up a notch.
This feels like a complete song rather than just the idea for one.
I like how you're using the guitar as a structural element. You've always been able to shred, but this seems more nuanced with repeating licks for an overall song identity, room left for vocals when you're singing, then kick into gear in the breaks.
Good job on this.

Thanks! I thought this one was something. It was recorded years ago. My sound has changed over the years; just like a lot of recording artists.

nice guitar Rob. I especially like the intro. Has a Robin Trower feel to it.

@robwills nice job lyrically on this one; verse, chorus, verse, chorus!! Now for a listen......to guitar work which is beyond me! A true headbanger! Could use some acid on this one, Lol! 😍
