Impossible People
Dang! Got so caught up here on TSF with catching up on reviews and comments that I almost forgot to post my song du jour! (or however that's spelled). Anyway, always wanted to write this one. Don't know if it's any good so any suggestions would be helpful.
For a listen, I know it's hard on the ears, so thanks ===> https://soundcloud.com/reneelachapelle/impossible-people
IMPOSSIBLE PEOPLE
[Verse 1]
There’s no pleasing ‘em
There’s no teasing ‘em
No appeasing ‘em
Impossible people
[Verse 2]
There’s no telling ‘em
There’s no selling ‘em
There’s no quelling ‘em
Impossible people
[Chorus 1]
Impossible people
That royal pain in your derriere
Impossible people
Fill your heart up with deep despair
You could be dying
They really don’t care
Impossible people
Are life’s saddest affair
[Verse 3]
They hang up on you
They gang up on you
They bang up on you
Impossible people
[Verse 4]
There’s no budging ‘em
There’s no touching ‘em
There’s no loving ‘em
Impossible people
[Bridge]
Hand ‘em the moon
They want the sun
Hand ‘em your heart
Like a loaded gun
Thought I knew you
I knew you none
I saw through you
You made me run
Now, that you’re gone
I can write about it
Just sad words in a song
I can laugh about it
Laugh about it
Laugh about it!
[Chorus 2]
Impossible people
That royal pain in your derriere
Impossible people
Fill your heart up with deep despair
You could be dying
They really don’t care
Impossible people
Line up the market square
mm-mmm, mm-mmm, mm-mmm
You could be dying
They really don’t care
Impossible people
Find ‘em everywhere
[Verses/Tag]
There’s no pleasing ‘em
There’s no teasing ‘em
No appeasing ‘em
There’s no telling ‘em
There’s no selling ‘em
No quelling ‘em
They hang up on you
Gang up on you
They bang up on you
There’s no budging ‘em
No touching ‘em
There’s no loving ‘em
Impossible people
Impossible people
Impossible people.

That's a good one. That sort of bullet list structure: "There’s no pleasing ‘em, There’s no teasing ‘em, No appeasing ‘em" etc gives it a real style of its own. And the Bridge using rhymes on alternate lines keeps to the style, but gives the ear that variation that I love to hear in a song.
Only line I'd point to is: "Fill your heart up with deep despair" as that has a different emotional tone. Elsewhere the narrator feels in charge, and can sort of look on impossible people with a wry grin and a shake of the head. Here it seems like they are, or were, deeply hurt. It's not necessarily wrong, but it stood out to me. If you're wanting to show that the narrator is really putting on a brave face over a painful episode then this could be just the ticket.

That’s very true Hard to get along with folks
Good job Renee1 -
Damn girl love your song but...how many IPs you got down there? And hey, how many easy to get along with folks you got for your next song??

@StoneFlowers song really was meant with one person in mind but knowing there are many 'IPs' (you had me for a minute, there as to what IPs stood for). I left the identity of that one person out of the song purposely as that person is deceased and deserves the respect of resting in peace. The Bridge points to the person rather than 'people'.
Anyway, thank you for the lovely compliment,
