Tax-Slave USA
Been hacking away at this one since 2023. Finally got 'er metered. The format is not what I had in mind but due to using a backing track, had to go with it. I planned on 2 verses followed by a chorus because the in each verse the title is the last line....oh, well, you get the picture! Any feedback is much appreciated.

About it , everybody hates 4/15 , Your chorus sounds like your verses , I would try changing it up there
most George Strait songs have hook in verses

Love the lyric on this!
I can imagine it being done in a much heavier style - like Greenday.

It's very difficult to retain the attention of the listener with a "shopping list song", so many repeated v + c's.
You need to build in variation at points throughout the song to keep interest from waning.
A good song nevertheless, deserves a little bit of polishing to do the message and words justice.
