For any dog-lovers out there! All of my dogs get their very own songs. The pup I had before Lucy Rose was Mizz Jozie. She died this past July at the ripe old age of 16. I was pretty distraught for a time and then I recently adopted a very sweet hound dog, Lucy Rose 🐶

Ahh you're in TN. Don't get me started on the dog songs. I lost one bout a year and a half ago. Now I've got a new puppy. Been trying to write a song for the last one called My Dog Is Dreaming but I just can't seem to finish it. Look back through my posts you'll see one called Dog Park. Love your song my friend.

This is really nice. Sweet and simple, and it works.

My favorite line is:

Now, it’s hard to say just who rescued who

I'd probably go for a different line 2 in the chorus and save the repeat till the end. Something about her eyes and wrinkled up nose? But this is a very personal song, and you should go the way that feels best to you.

Anyone who loves dogs is probably going to love this!
