THANKSGIVING DAY 2024
Thanksgiving day, it’s a ghost town
But I don’t really mind
I live far enough away from home
Thanksgiving day is all mine

And I’m thankful for this walk with my dog, though I wish you were here

Right about now we’d all be sitting down for turkey dinner
And all of the fixings that grandma made so perfectly
And right about now everyone would be filling up on seconds
In those days, nobody dared to speak politically, now
