Thanks for having me on this forum, RainyDayMan! I used to be here a lot in the months just before COVID. Then my local open mics stopped and my mind wandered to things besides music. But I'm back!

This song is a true story a friend of mine experienced with his grandad. It's about how self-doubt and fear of failure are passed down generation to generation. NO AI was used in the creation of this song!

Okay. Since AI seems to be such a hot topic these days, thought I'd give her a whirl...

This song is NOT to say that I don't enjoy listening to your AI songs because truly I marvel at how AI brings a lyricist's songs to life! But we all have minds of our own and decide for ourselves what's best for us.

That said, this song is my personal view on AI as a whole and knowing who's largely behind it, I doubt it will be used for the betterment of mankind as much as to the detriment. For example, just the divide among us over AI, much like climate change and religion, etc...etc... is a detriment to mankind.

So, please, while I appreciate any constructive criticism, I'd appreciate no arguing the matter. And I look forward to hearing more of your side of the coin as in pro-AI songs.

Good morning, Songsters. Truly enjoying your material; some very interesting topics out there!

I appreciate any feedback on this one. It was a bit tough to write because freedom is perceived as a good thing of which it is, however, there is that kind of freedom which is a detriment to a nation's survival. So, I thought I'd give it a go somewhat based upon Scripture but not so much a Christian song as we know them today.

Still wondering if this song makes sense but I gave it a whirl. @bhengen it certainly is no bhengen, "When You're Gone, You're Gone", but..

So my question is, does this story make sense to you? If not, any suggestions would help. Open to rewriting it as I struggled with it some. Trying to make sense as to why my father would say such a thing in his humorous way. I can only hope I got it right 'cuz there's nobody still alive to ask. And I hope that I put Dad in a good light as he deserves.

Thanks to Bill @bhengen 's song, "Me, The Hummingbird" which reminded me to rewrite my hummingbird song of which, if memory serves I started back in 2023.

My question on this one, is it okay, that in the lyric I didn't mention hummingbirds leaving it up to the listener to decipher that it's hummingbirds I'm speaking of? Or, should I mention them? I purposely subtitled the song due to the omission. Thank you for your feedback.

Looking back at previous versions, I may need to go back to the drawing board as I seldom look back when rewriting. On this one, I should have tho' I do like the way the rhyme-scheme in the verses falls on this one the best. So, here she is at this moment (subject to change)!

This song was inspired by Elvis Nash's song "Trailer Park Millionaire". His song reminded me of the late-great poet, writer and painter, Charles Bukowski, when he stated the term 'Monday's Millionaires' in one of his poems. Which poem that was, I can't recall but the term stuck with me over the years.
