Young and dumb might be a catchier title, but that's me. :) Has a 3 doors down vibe to it. This line I can relate, Got married, in Vegas at 23, only I was 18 lasted 37 years.

yup inspired by real life. i moved to Vegas for a girl when i was 23. married 21 years now (i think?).

I like the title - What Stupid Does - it catches you right away

I think a more redemptive final verse would have been good - I'm not but I'm not as dumb / those hard lessons learned so well

Yep this works. A bit exaggerated maybe, but I think that what the song calls for.

Music feels like a good fit for it.

I like the generational thing in the bridge, talking to his son. Gives the song a purpose.

Maybe: "do what I say…" to "just hear what I say"?

I love the lyrics. I so wish this was a real country rock band playing this song. It may not sound anywhere near as polished, but it would have the grit n spit that this somehow lacks. The regulars on here know me well, so please don't let me put you off.

Thanks alot! 😄 that would be awesome to have it played by a real band. I am beginning to see the short comings of Ai Music. But it will narrow the gap quickly if i had to guess, but not completely.
