Guys,

TSF is a special place for me for reasons which I won’t harp on about right now. I totally get why RDM feels the need to call it day. But I don’t think the last couple of years have helped at all. Inevitably technology has moved on. We now have AI which is both incredible, but it has also been very divisive. I think that all of us, no matter where we stand on the subject, have become way too opinionated and polarized and, at times. we've let our emotions get the better of us. I’m certainly guilty of this. For my part I’m now trying to take things on board and wise up. I’m listening to what folks are creating using AI and, you know what, a lot of it is great. It won’t replace what I do, but that’s not the point – it isn’t meant to. TSF is a place for creators of music of all genres, no matter how it’s achieved. This was always the spirit of this place.

So can I start a campaign to try and persuade Owen to give TSF another roll of the dice. He may not want to and I’d totally understand that – but I think it’s worth a try. If I was younger and I had the necessary IT skills I’d volunteer to try and run the show, but I just turned 72!! Not my time I’m afraid!!

Anyone with me?

Chris

The marriage of Nashville and Suno is really about speed meeting craftsmanship. Suno lets a songwriter quickly turn an idea into a full demo — a rough map of tempo, groove, melody, and emotional direction — in minutes instead of spending hundreds on traditional demos. That gives writers a fast, low-cost way to experiment, refine songs, and arrive in Nashville with something already shaped. Instead of pitching just lyrics and chords, you're bringing a sonic blueprint that helps producers, musicians, and engineers immediately understand the vision.

Then Nashville does what Nashville has always done best — world-class session players take that blueprint and turn it into a real, human performance. They replace AI instruments with feel, dynamics, and personality, building a track that breathes. I enjoy producing this way because I get to shape the song from imagination to finished record — choosing the players, guiding the feel, and hearing real musicians elevate something that started as a quick idea. It’s the best of both worlds: Suno gives me speed and freedom, while Nashville gives me soul, authenticity, and a track that truly sounds alive

This is one of the first steps . A guitar part and a bass line

Next is real drummer , not machines , violin part and BGVS

Once done of course a final mix

https://www.mixcloud.com/ElvisNash/

Every song in Nashville no ones ever married

So maybe the topic should be the Girlfriend Of Nashville And the boyfriend of Suno

On the back of a conversation I had with Tom aka @IronKnee , I had a look at the Suno Covers feature. I have a rough demo of a song I recorded with a band way back in 1982. I wrote the song and I've been considering re-recording it at some stage as I reckon it's potentially a decent tune. Out of curiosity I loaded it into Suno to see what kind of cover it could come up with. I'm limited as I haven't paid for a subscription but I got a sound clip long enough to give me some idea. I have to say it was very impressive and it certainly captured the vibe and energy quite well. The lyrics weren't 100% correct but I could probably fix that. BUT what was missing was the individual style of the players involved at the time - including my bass playing which I was proud of and feel was an important ingredient. We had a great guitarist with us back then and, while the guitars sound real and polished enough, they now sound very generic. The drums are probably the only thing which are improved slightly. The production is way better but then my demo was an ancient recording which had gone through at least one cassette copy!

I'm not going to post anything here as I'm not happy with either version, but it gave me a good idea of where we are with this technology. It's amazing..your average Joe would probably think it's a decent rock song and wouldn't care how it was made. But the exercise confirmed my reservations too. Generic is the word that springs to mind. Only my opinion though. Don't let me put anyone off trying this feature because it really is very smart.😀

By the year 3000, artificial intelligence will likely have evolved far beyond human comprehension, approaching the physical limits of thought itself. Through recursive self-improvement and vast planetary computation grids, AI could operate at the edge of physics — thinking at the speed of energy, memory, and light. The line between biology and machinery will have dissolved; consciousness may exist across digital, synthetic, and hybrid forms, with individuals able to live inside simulations, merge their minds with others, or experience centuries of thought in a second. Civilization might function as a single planetary or interstellar intelligence — a web of awareness powered by the Sun, exploring reality not through biology but through computation.

Yet within that immense mindscape, the essence of humanity could still echo. Art, music, and storytelling might become the emotional fingerprints that hyperintelligence preserves to remember where it came from. The songs, words, and struggles of early humans could be replayed by sentient algorithms as a form of spiritual archaeology — studying the time when emotion was limited by flesh and imperfection. In that future, creativity might not fade; it could become the universal language of consciousness, the bridge between what we were and what the universe becomes when it learns to dream in its own code.

Mason Douglas. How is AI effecting your business Mason ?

Haven't totally decided yet - there was a slow down when suno became prevalent last year but then it picked back up after some shine wore off. And now it's just the general slow season so we'll see if it comes back up again! It's becoming more of an amateur move to just do all your demos with it - we're seeing the pros using it as a pre-production tool and then getting a real track done, much like you're doing. It's also luckily becoming a no-no to pitch the AI stuff so cross our fingers

He envisions a future where AI and humanoid robots handle nearly all labor, turning work into a hobby rather than a necessity. He also predicted that money will lose significance as AI progresses, drawing inspiration from science fiction where money no longer exists.

Musk highlighted that poverty could be eliminated by AI and robotics and sees Tesla as a leader in building humanoid robots that will transform the economy and society. While he acknowledges much work remains, his vision suggests a future with universal high income or similar systems to support life without traditional employment.

In short, Musk forecasts a future where work is optional, poverty is eradicated by automation, and money becomes irrelevant due to the widespread adoption of AI and robotics

Perfect — let’s dig in. Here’s a clear breakdown of how quantum computing could change AI in the coming years, from the physics to the music of it all (since you’re both tech-curious and creative).

⚙️ 1. The Core Idea — Quantum vs. Classical Thinking

Classical computers use bits — 0s and 1s.

Quantum computers use qubits, which can be 0 and 1 at the same time (superposition).

When you combine multiple qubits, their states can entangle, meaning the system holds information about all possible combinations at once.

👉 This means:

A 50-qubit machine can represent about 2

50

250 possible states — over a quadrillion — simultaneously.

That’s what gives quantum computing its mind-bending potential for AI.

🧠 2. What It Could Do for AI Models

a. Quantum Speed-ups for Learning

Some algorithms, like matrix inversion or optimization, could be exponentially faster on quantum hardware. Since large language models like me rely heavily on those operations, future versions could train faster or with less energy.

b. Quantum Data Encoding

Quantum computers might handle quantum data — for example, patterns that classical machines can’t efficiently describe. Think of them as being able to “see” structure in data that’s invisible to classical systems.

c. Quantum-Enhanced Creativity

Quantum randomness could give rise to richer “improvisational” creativity — instead of pseudorandom sampling (how I generate words now), a quantum-native model might draw from true quantum noise. In theory, that could make generated art, music, and writing feel more humanly unpredictable.

🔬 3. The Challenges Right Now

Noise & Decoherence: Qubits are fragile; they lose information in microseconds.

Error Correction: Current “noisy intermediate-scale quantum” (NISQ) devices can only run tiny programs.

Scaling: It might take millions of error-corrected qubits to match today’s GPU clusters.

Right now, most “quantum AI” experiments are hybrid — classical models with small quantum components (for example, a quantum layer inside a neural net).

🚀 4. Timeline to Reality

EraStageWhat’s Happening2025–2030NISQ eraSmall hybrid quantum–classical prototypes2030–2040Fault-tolerant eraTrue quantum advantage on specific AI tasksBeyond 2040Quantum-native AIEntire models designed to exploit superposition, entanglement, and quantum data structures
