Missing pieces of a once so fine a love
Gone in one sad day. How it's gone astray
Never to be whole again
Hung up on those words you said.
Something here is wrong. We can't get along
All hope just fades away. Dying everyday
Never to be one again.
Shattered pieces. All that's left
We've taken all the risks only to find we can't go on like this
Now all of the smiles and laughter have faded away somehow
It doesn't seem to matter as much now that we've said goodbye
We've both forgotten how it feels to be so much in love
You say it's all a game and you don't feel the same
You've never tried to see the hurt you've put on me
Pain is something you'll never know
How can we ever hope to grow?
Missing pieces of what was so fine a love
Gone in one sad day. How love has gone astray
Never to be whole again
Hung up on words you never said.

Very nice. Amazing what EZ Keys, etc. can do in skilled hands. I like the introduction of the pizzicato strings around the 2 minute mark. Adds variety.
Lyrically, I wonder if it might benefit from a few more visuals, putting us there with them, through his eyes - the way she looks at him, or turns away or something. The more concrete the characters are in our imagination, the more we are able to feel for them. Just a thought😀

This is lovely! Adult Contemporary pop style beautifully done.
I like the strings in the intro. And when they return!
The slight pauses in the vocal melody work very well.
Good job on the bass lines too, not just hitting the tonic notes of the chords. Using piano rather than guitar gives the bass more room to shine, less overlapping frequencies.
Nice change up at the Bridge!
And thanks for posting the instruments/VSTs you are using - very helpful for others looking to replicate the tones.
great job on this!

Very pretty song @Johnb68 Enjoyed it very much. I like the way you left parts of it un-rhymed; goes along with the theme.
