Gods Caddilac

Comments

  • Lovely picking in this.

I think God's Cadillac is a lovely image. The whole song feels pretty smooth to me.

  • Enjoyed that very much, Elvis. And at least you're not afraid to admit you're a 'hypocrite'! And my God's more a Lincoln Continental guy. But I suppose yours sings better! 😜

  • killa tune...the concept...the story...the music...the graphics...I'd pay money to hear this one, but thanks or sharing for free. Just a damn good song Elvis. Gotta ask, where and what interesting place in your world and your head did it come from?

its just a hook to write to.

My cowriter insisted on religious things like Jesus in the middle and Holy Ghost in back

I think I had a blond in the middle

I get song ideas usually joking around with people or discussing crazy things happening in people lives , We have religion discussions , I might have said Gods got a cadilac , something like that .

Some fans ask me , what does this song mean to you ? Nothing really it was a hook to write to

I gotta stop saying that lol

    Thanks

Everybody is some sort of hypocrite, cuz money is involved . it's not that sin is out of the question , but as you get older your to lazy to sin , and the mental cattle prod sin produces , its not really worth it. And what is the big one ? Well adultery of course. So you sit in God's Caddilac .

  • Wow, here's a great song. Whatever you get from it, that's a great hookline. Delivered with all your usual style and production. I've had a few days away - Christmas and all that - and this the first thing I listened to when I came back on board.

    I love it.😀

  • Its the first track of cd for sale Chris

    Thanks

  • This is really cool. The delivery of the verses reminds me of Street Legal-era Dylan...while the lyrics remind me of Saved-era Dylan 😄

    Well done, all around.

Wow, Elvis! I love this from start to end. I agree with Matt's comment. "Holy Ghost in the back" My mother had the Holy Ghost and took me to church with her when I was a kid. It got really wild in there sometimes. I found it to be quite entertaining.

I was comparing lyrics and production to 9 billion voices , I guess it's more real sounding. Since its tracked live and me singing , than robots . its probably the best song I've written in 2024 out of 50 or so

    Thanks Cove and Matty Young
