good song, but to me you're overusing sweet blue eyes that's killing the vibe. and it feels written from the outside in, not inside out. the melody fits the lyrics.

yes, melody is very good for this song. Just a suggestion if you wanted to make the "sweet blue eyes" hit a little harder only use it in the chorus. or not use a chorus and put it at the end of each verse as refrain.
consider tweaking this line so it doesn't use "eyes" . it takes away some of the punch from the blue eyes part. 'You make my eyes shining with pride' make - my heart beat with pride-or similar to fit your melody.
