Keen On Walking

Did any of you folks across the pond happen to see the story of the guy who is walking from UK to Vietnam on a drunken bet?
Here's a link to the story:
And here's a link to the song it spawned:
This fog won’t last
I’ve been blinded before
I know I can trust the past
Won’t be long here I’m sure
And when it finally lifts
And I see the sun talking
My feet will be moving I’m keen on walking
The pain is arriving
Feel the rumble in your feet
Climb on board find a seat
Or walk on and turn a cheek
One step at a time
Hear freedom calling
My feet are moving cuz I’m keen on walking
Till the end of the day
To the ends of the earth
Or just around the block
I’m keen to walk
Hear the wind callin
Can’t stand standin still
Heading for the horizon
Until my feet get their fill
Can’t hear the clock ticking
Through the sound of the blowing
A dirt road is my longing I’m keen on walking
A thousand miles from here
There’s a place on my map
Hidden in the canyon
Down I steep winding path
Can’t get there driving
Can’t get there talking
One step at a time I’m keen on walking
Till the end of the day
To the ends of the earth
Or just around the block
Yeah I’m keen to walk
Watch me passing by
One step at a tiiiime

That's a wild dare! Rather him than me, though I'm sure he'll have stories to tell for the rest of his life.
I liked the song. My favorite lines were:
Can’t get there driving
Can’t get there talking
not only good lyrics, but they seem to really fit with the man himself.
I had an idea that maybe your guitar could cut in and out - really high contrast. But you might need some other supporting instrument, bass or something, to make that work and keep the continuity. Or it might just sound crap!!
Enjoyed it!
