dbloodworth - A re-introduction

Hey everyone - I'm Danny Bloodworth. So, full disclosure - I was here in the early days with Mike and Owen and I made some other friends back in those early days that I still love and miss to this day! Roy, Brenda, Barry, James, Crystal, Granny, and on an on and on.

I haven't been able to spend much time on music and lyrics for the last 5 or 6 years. To be honest, I've kind of been through it. The Cliff's Notes version: I quit my job, started a business, nearly died, lost my Dad, lost my Mom less than a year later, nearly died AGAIN for F's sake, got through it all, am better for it, and plan to be here for as long as I can.

Recently, I discovered Suno. The first night I used Suno I immediately signed up for the paid subscription because there were SO many songs that I'd written that had never had music to them. I sat at my computer and literally shed tears hearing some of my songs come to life. I don't know how you feel about AI, but it TOTALLY brought me back.

For anyone that remembers my Mom, SundownSam here on TSF - I just wish she'd had this tool when she was involved with the site and still writing lyrics - she would have absolutely loved it.

Anyway, I'm not sure how long I'll be around during this visit, but I hope to get to know as many of you as I can, listen to your music, and just share some of the stuff that's been locked up and trying to get out of me for the last few years.

Danny

    Hi Danny,

Thanks for the background, quite an eventful recent past. Hope your future is a lot more boring and quiet.

Look forward to you sharing your knowledge and experience with those of us less so.

Kind of you to take the time and trouble.

    Sid

Thanks Sid - boring and quiet will be welcomed. Appreciate you Sir.

  • Oh mate! That sounds like such a tough time. I'm glad to hear that music is back in your life, whether you're here or elsewhere, that can only help.

AI can be a godsend for a lyricist. AI generated music is welcome here. The only exception is when you just give it a prompt to generate both lyrics and music. TSF exists for songwriters to help other songwriters (that should sound familiar!) but I don't call that kind of prompting songwriting. Shouldn't be an issue for you though!

Those were some familiar names! And I miss them too, but there's a good bunch of people here now too for you to meet.

    Glad to see you again!

Thanks Owen. Always appreciate you welcoming me back - and mostly for being the constant since Mike left us. This haven wouldn't exist without you, period.

My promise to you and everyone here is that everything I post will have something of me in it! It may not be me playing the instruments, but I always know what it's supposed to sound like and the words will always come from my soul. I generally try, and then upload my "iffy" music and let AI make it better.

As for the new folks, I've met a few and found a few friends already - I hope. Look forward to meeting the rest of the new TSF gang.

I recall Sundown Sam. I was on the site with her long ago. It was shortly after Mike Frisbey died that I found the site. Glad to see you here.
