BREAKING NEWS-24/7
Hey there,
Yesterday I got really upset and angry after watching a report on TV. I wrote an email and spoke my mind but somehow it wasn't enough for me to do, and so I came up with this little thing today.
Feel free to give polite feedback and ideas.

Breaking News-24/7
It had been us, it had been us! ( A')
We surly spoke first with the dead
And all covers full of photos
We show all that those stars got fat
We knew that he had been guilty
Before he comitted this crime
We don't need a crystal ball, but
For good news we don't have the time
Cameras are rollin' ( pre B)
Flashlights without thunder
All the mics are open
Our ethic makes you wonder
Breaking news ( B)
We are live, 24/7
Breaking news
We always give you OUR brand new truth
Breaking news
We are live, 24/7
Don't judge us by how we do our jobs
If the story is hot we do interviews in heaven
And are live still- 24/7
Following around our target (A+)
And snapshots taken on the 'loo
So easy to destroy a life
We'll know you better than you do
Fake news belong to our buisness
So sometimes we tell „little lies“
And if we don't win an Emmy
We long for the Pulitzer Prize
pre B
B
We interrupt our program (C)
To bury dignity
We interrupt our program
In the name of humanity
We interrupt our program
To bury dignity
So be sure that we won't stop
And if there's not enough gossip
We certainly make some stories up

Anger and distress coming through loud and clear, along with a good dose of cynicism. A modern protest song.
I don't fall into a rhythm reading it, but it might work very well in a half spoken / half sung style.

Hey Owen, thanx for your feedback.
I had a very clear and fast rhythm in mind when I wrote A‘ preB and B. Fast and like „on a hunt“ broken off by B. I’ll have a look if the rest fits in. Thank you for pointing that out.

Hola @RainbowKeeper
The songs that protest... That's what the minstrels were like, they went from town to town singing the bad acts of the despicable, mocking them, ridiculing them was the way the people had to save their humble dignity!
I was surprised by this topic and I liked reading it.
I no longer ask myself questions, I simply accept the fact that they give us everything that poisons us, everything that separates us and makes us enemies of each other for stupid reasons... The division is assured, there will always be 2 sides, so least, that's their target.
I don't watch or listen to the news, they are of no use to me because everything is a repetition as if life, the universe, the world, water... were a closed circuit like that of ornamental fountains. I limit myself to living, for that I was born, to enjoy all the good that exists despite them and to create, because I make my world, not them

I get the sentiment, and don't disagree. Overall, I like the lyric. However, it doesn't really grab me, maybe because it's so general. If you focused on a particular incident and how they cover it, I think it would have more impact. You could do that in the verses and then zoom out to your general complaint in the chorus. Or you could make each verse about a different specific incident.
