RISE LIKE THE TIDES
V1
The world is a sinkin’ boat
Ruled over by stinkin’ goats
Just one way to stay afloat
We got to rise
V2
Politics and false religion
Hatred, chaos, division
On a crash course collision
We got to rise
CHORUS
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides, sweep it all away
V3
By way of oil and gold
The power that they hold
Mighty men are bought and sold
We got to rise
V4
Politics and false religion
Hatred, chaos, division
On a crash course collision
We got to rise
CHORUS
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides, sweep it all away, yeah
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides, sweep it all away
Rise
Rise
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides, sweep it all away
V1 Repeats
The world is a sinkin’ boat
Ruled over by stinkin’ goats
Just one way to stay afloat
We got to rise
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides
Rise like the tides, sweep it all away
Rise
Rise
Rise like the tides
Rise.

Reggae? Wasn't expecting that! But what a great result! Good on you for trying something different.
I think this works really well. I particularly like how you sing ri-i-ise but honestly it's all good. It just works
Good stuff, Renee!

You really are having fun with these backing tracks! Reggae - why not? Sounds good. Like RDM, I like the way you sing ri-i-ise.
Lyrically, "Rise like the tides" is a good hook, and it certainly gets a lot of repetition. If I actually think too deeply about it, it doesn't really mean anything. I don't finish the song with a great drive to rise like the tides because I'm not sure how I do that LOL.

I like the song and I like that you're testing the waters with other genres, that's great.
What I do have a slight reservation with is the degree of repetition, there is a lot of it.
There is a fine line between emphasis and overcookin' it and it's easy to stray into the latter.
I tend to avoid it for exactly that reason.
If you do decide to go that way, then I would advise you introduce some variation within the repetition to at least ease the sense of overcooking.
Nevertheless, good song Renee.
