Friend (was I Once Was Lost)

I don’t know what to say,
I’m stumbling lost in a foreign land
you’re talking in a strange language
but your tone I understand
(chorus)
you show me how close a friend can be
you work it out when I don’t have a clue
I once was blind but now I see
everybody seems a little mystified
in a tunnel not sure which way to go
the streets are quiet in the dawn
there’s a turn-around, a new glow
(chorus)
every piano note you play
strikes home right around the heart
it’s the language both of us understand
it sings out clear, it’s street smart
you show me how close a friend can be
you work it out when I don’t have a clue
I once was blind but now I see
things definitely are looking up
out along the ancient ragged coast.
the sky turns crimson and gold
our love will follow.

you show me how close a friend can be
you work it out when I don’t have a clue
I once was blind but now I see

I like this version RC. The images feel a little clearer, and the whole a bit tighter.
Good job on revising it. No reason to expect it to be perfect first go.
