Gender

Words - Me; Music - Suno
This is a re-write of my song Gender Identity, wasn't really happy with some of it. seem like forced rhymes
https://suno.com/s/NsCYHCv8PbELacHJ
[Verse 1]
Ball spinning round, throw the dice
Gender determined by genetic slice
Devout say gender by divinity
Others, gender by pure probability
[Verse 2]
Priests forked tongue of hypocrisy
Secretly letting freak flags free
Claims truths found in scriptures
Cloaked in shrouded conjectures
[Chorus]
Ball goes round and round
Gender in helix strands bound
No religion ever, ever decides,
Determines what I feel inside
Ball goes round and round
Gender in helix strands bound
No religion ever, ever decides,
Determines what I feel inside
[Verse 3]
Our free will, God steps aside
Letting us mere mortals decide
How we choose self-identification
Our souls only need pacification
[Bridge]
If he became, she and she, he,
Or they, it, whatever they be
My life exists just the same
We all go out as into we came
[Outro]
All of Gods many diverse creatures
Each has distinct exotic features
Some switch sex, males give birth
My two cents, for what it's worth

A powerful song, an equally powerful statement. You captured your position and message so well that one just has to sit back and absorb what is being said. The subject matter is difficult at the best of times but to your credit, this doesn't deter you at all.
I found the construction and flow of the song to be very professional making it easy to follow the position and argument.
I'm sure there are countless poor souls out there who would gain much comfort from hearing your song Bill, I hope you can get it out there somehow where it can do the most good.
A piece of work to be proud of.

I would think one persons story might be more powerful

@sidshovel - Thanks sid. there was a similar song on audius, but his take was from the pride perspective, It's messed up that it's still a thing. When I originally wrote this, there were other members here with a different viewpoint. In addition to that, my niece's friend, Tonia, wouldn't let her son jack hang around a friend who happened to be homosexual. I asked Tonia what she was afraid of. Her response was, "she didn't want his kind hanging around her son". Tonia happens to be Mormon. My catholic mother had the same viewpoint. I just think it's ignorant

its a touchy topic with political over tones

In my experience Bill, women are usually more tolerant of diversity. Probably a case of, "there but for the grace of god" syndrome.
Except when it comes to their own offspring, then all bets are off. Maternal instinct overrides all other considerations however illogical.

@sidshovel - you never met my mom ).. She grew up in easter washington state. bigot and racist. if you weren't straight and white, then you were the worse person in the world. I'd wonder how she would have reactive if she found out that her favorite daughter, my younger sister was bisexual. Sandi hid it well, but I always suspected.

That the song and views are based on personal experience doesn't surprise me, lines like those can only come from the heart.
Respect.

Transgender always brings up strange thoughts , it’s widely excepted now by most

You would need to promote it , besides 4 comments on forums , YouTube channel0 -
Thanks sid

Yes, I know.. another demon I need to contend with :)
0 -
Not a demon , just a fact of life from generation to generation . I'm a baby boomer, trans are an odd breed. Gen Z are more forgiving on trans people obviously . homo phobic is an odd term. No straight man wants to think about homosexuals , So it's kinda bullshit on the term . We play the game on excepting everyone , takes some work

no, the demon is putting myself out there

No such thing as demons , We like the scapegoat though . We like demons in songs , it's just mental health really. Most hits are up beat feel good songs , funny how that works

Your'e not inside my head 😂😂. My late wife asked my why I couldn't just be happy. I told her that's a pandora's box she does not want opened :)😶🤣

You have to work on being happy , just like you work to be sad . Were all in the same boat

@bhengen Love your bridge, especially the line: 'We all go out as into we came'. And yes, FREE WILL rules as granted by the Almighty. What we do with it truly is up to each of us to decide as sovereign-beings. Love the dark and pretty music you chose and lovely vocal. And I love your final line; sounds like something I might say, Lol!

@HummerWisdom - thanks for the comment. the concept of free will is another debate all together, depending on your outlook :) don't know who Suno sampled to get that voice. it's definitely unique. that was a happy accident.

@bhengen I won't be debating much if any here on TSF. That's why I left for awhile 'cuz I got too caught up in it and it made me feel like I was on FB or X or whatever of which I'm no longer am a part of. I got places I can go for a debate and of course there's always my own songs to get out of my head for any rants I might have, Lol!
Cheers 🥂 for taking on such a twisted and controversial subject!

@HummerWisdom - isn't that what art is about, regardless of the medium , is to make people think and feel. which is why I like prog rock, specifically art prog or art metal. it's less about the overall structure of the song, and more about making a person feel. not a popular genre, but it works for me :)

I'm blown away by the lyrics and the melody. The guitar presence wow!
What a powerful message and I love how you broke it down for those of us in the nosebleed seats.
Well done! BRAVO! I'm tired of labels.

@bhengen Dead on, couldn't have said it better myself.

@TammyB , nosebleed seats😂🤣, haven't heard that before, love it.
I have to confess, when Bill first started posting on TSF, his work was way over my head, a lot of it still is. To his credit, he patiently explained how his art form worked and bit by bit, I've come to appreciate his work a lot more.
