Can music be 1000 times as pleasurable as we know it? Possible?

Music, the right music, makes people feel good. Take a song that makes most people feel good or evoke strong emotion, like "Let it Be" or "Yesterday" by The Beatles. Is it possible that music can be made to be 1000 times or so more pleasurable than that? Or have we reached a celling?
I personally don't know by my theory is that it is in fact possible. I envision certain combination of sounds that do this. Maybe some computer generated ultra-saturated sounds? Imagine if that were possible? What do you think?

10000 times ? it be sensory over load . if your using Yesterday , a 10000 times more of regret might kill the person

Well, many times as pleasurable. I don't think it would be sensory overload, 1970 and 80's rock music is many times as pleasurable as early "rock 'n' roll" yet it is well tolerated.

You said 10000 times more , Why do you keep bringing up 1970 or 1980 music , it's 2025 with many great songs . if you write
depressing songs , you'll make the listener depressed . So lets make it a 100 times more instead of a 10000 , So you depress that person a 100 times more than normal .

I said "1000" times more. Look at the original post.
It was only a number to give an extreme idea of what I mean. It could 500 or 10,000 times. You put the headphones on and it's like :Whoa......................" Why can't this be?
70's rock was the height of what "rock n' roll" became. It hasn't changed because it can't. It's like chocolate. You can do things to it, like add nuts or caramel to it, but you can't do better than it, in and of itself. But there may be other music that can be created that is far more pleasurable.

It's hard to see how this would happen. Humanity has 1000s of years of experience with music, in many formats, in the context of many cultures without experiencing the kind of phenomena you're alluding to. If it's to happen I think it would require something truly novel.

Music has moved on from 70ties , just like it from the 20ties . Man I hear this constantly music sucks today , Really gets boring
Whatever I feel is enough , I don't need the a 1000 times more lol

But imagine if you could put on headphones and hear sound that made you feel better than you ever had?

Humanity was around for thousands of years before The Beatles. So who knows what will come in hundreds of years from now? I think music has not gone anywhere since the 1970's but all it takes is one or a few people to start a new music revolution.

there have been a few music revolutions since the 70's.. there was the new wave in, pop, rap in the 80's. then came grunge and edm in the 90's, I could go on. You seem to be really stuck in an era, before the beatles, there was the start of rock, jazz, big band, etc...

Man you missed the rap Era , Ok stay in the past . Changing behavior is almost impossible . The past is a waste of my time
I'm really sick about hearing about the Beatles , move on . I got the message 80,000 vids ago . memories are a disease

The baby boomers dream and the Beatles , Gen Z Dream Kayne West and Alan Walker

You want a sensory over load , Listen to Alan Walker tracks. That guy is all over the place. I could never produce tracks like that in a million years

That’s just EDM. On the same token, listen to David Guetta, deadmau5, armin, all the electronic dj’s. It’s all layered with many tracks0
-
ha ha ha yeah EDM , I can stand it for about half hour

Then us a on a long road trip would be annoying for one of us as that what I mainly listen to 😂0

The Beatles were the main driver of ALL popular music that came after. Minor drivers were Led Zeppelin (hard rock genre). Van Halen (upgraded the rock sound) and Nirvana (ruined popular music in my opinion). Before the Beatles the driver was Elvis. Before that it was the blues. Before that people in Africa banging on logs!

You're missing out on Jazz, big band and classical.

Yup the big band guys thought the Beatles sucked , Just like now people say music sucks , Rinse and repeat . Bunch of old guys with they don't make music like they used too. As kids flock to stadiums on 2025 music . Be home by 1am , Oh we will , nothing has changed

So after that rant , You follow a few trends and try to make the song as fresh as possible , even being old . Man that ain't bad for not being a prodigy like the Beatles . of course you have the ongoing saga of beating robots as you stand in that vocal booth pouring your heart out

Jazz, big band and classical were added to pop music, like "rock "n" roll", they weren't the drivers. If you want to get very technical those genres were part of the historic development of pop music but only a very minor parts.
Speaking of "minor" many rock songs are written in a minor key, very similar to the blues scale. In classical music the minor scale is widely used, too. That scale incorporates the sharp 5th which is vastly different than the blues scale. Yet, many rock songs use it. The best example is "Stairway to Heaven". Listen to that guitar solo!

Stairway to Heaven" was 4 million years ago , You keep staying in the past
He's 2025 , in minor

Thats 7 years ago , He probably beat what he did back then. These guys are under the gun to beat the last song
Long pre chorus . 7 lines , Rest of the structure in standard commercially speaking

@robwills - They weren't the drivers? where do you think the artists of the 60's and 70's got their influence from? Rock and roll would not exists otherwise.. I agree with Elvis, that was then and this is now.. there are a lot of new bands out now that are just as good if not better, than those. https://youtu.be/TM23gaT4zkY?si=jpt7Nmwnk0I9f9SI

Thats a great example of keeping people hooked before the chorus , on singing bullets in pre . perfectly crafted song , a marriage of melody and lyrics

That music strikes me as totally corporate, contrived, regurgitate, awful music. Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven was a million years ago but it was the "well" and the "launching pad" for everything else to come. It is timeless. It will still be great in 10,000 years.

Ok , stay in the past , Wasting my time. Don't get run over by a truck , living in the 70ties. Your like every old songwriter I talk to , new music is garbage Can't grasp the present , so live in that past . I takes balls to grasp new ideas in 2025 , its not easy , WTF I can't do that , well you can get close . Non songwriters stop listening to new music at about 40 , Thats a fatal mistake for song-writers in 2025 . People are so predictable at 40 years old , New music sucks and on come some old rock band

I never said all new music is bad. I like a some of it, the rock and pop. But you must admit that there is nothing new here. In the 60's, 70's and even the 80's there was incredible creativity like nothing before or after. I just heard Lady Gaga's new album, released the other day. It sounds like a rehash of sounds from the 70's. rehash. Nothing new at all. The sound is kind of futuristic but it's nothing previously unknown. Imagine hearing Hendrix's "Are you experienced:" in 1967. Wow! Nothing like that today. Maybe, hopefully tomorrow.

ha ha ha, Here ya go again with Hendrix . Well listen to new music until ya can't stand it anymore . Jesus Christ that was horrible , Well that one ain't bad

Almost all the guitar sounds in popular rock and most pop music today is a direct influence of Hendrix. In fact all rock guitarists are "disciples" of Hendrix. He was really that revolutionary and influential. And imagine he had only 1 top 20 hit! ("All Along the Watchtower")
