Karma
Karma
[verse]
It’s been twenty years since I've seen you.
Now out of the blue you’re here.
Expecting things to be as they were
before you brought me to tears.
verse
I sat at the chapel, cried all day
wearing my white wedding dress.
Wondering if I was somehow to blame;
Cursing you beneath my breath.
[pre chorus]
How dare you show your face here
after what you put me through.
You left me at the altar
facing a world without you
chorus
I won’t forgive you, but I’ll thank you;
I have a wonderful guy
It took time but now I’m doing fine.
I have a wonderful life.
[verse]
I prayed karma would catch up to you.
that some girl would break your heart.
She’d do to you what you did to me.
She would tear your world apart.
[verse]
I wondered, would it make you bitter?
Would it leave you feeling blue?
Jaded and cynical about love;
Depressed and a slave to booze.
[Pre chorus]
It’s plain to see that you’re drunk;
showing up here at my door.
Don’t waste your time explaining.
I don’t love you anymore.
[chorus]
I won’t forgive you but, I’ll
thank you.
I have a wonderful guy.
It took time but now I’m doing fine
I have a wonderful life.
[outro]
Guilt and booze have ruined your life.
I have a wonderful guy.
Karma came to call on you
made you envious of mine.

Nice!
Not sure about mentioning the new guy in the chorus though. Feels like this is about him and her. Maybe:
I won’t forgive you, but I’ll thank you;
I have a wonderful life.
Leaving was the best gift you could give me
It took time but now I’m doing fine.
Mentioning him in the outro though feels very natural.
