Wow! The music for this was so different to what I was expecting reading the lyric. And the better for it. Just shows how much of the mood and atmosphere is carried in the music. And how differently we can interpret the written word!
As a light pop song I think this works quite well. There's a fair bit of repetition, but it seems to fit and work when set to music.
The "going crazy" and doctor references convert to showing the depth of the narrator's passion for the relationship rather than anything more dark and desperate.
