Broken crayons

To lighten the moods
Elvis Nash , Sandy Ramous , Justin Morgan
https://audiomack.com/nashvillecalif/song/broken-crayons-v3
We’re white black, yellow, red and all different shades of brown
But underneath a heartbeat makes the same sound
Some seem to dance in sunshine while others drown in rain
But inside everybody hides some kind of pain
CHORUS:
We’re all broken crayons,
livin’ in one box
We need to heal each other
Instead of throwin’ rocks
There’s power in our differences
I think that’s why they’re there
We’re all broken crayons,
with beautiful colors to share
Verse2:
We’ve all been given gifts, no two alike
So why do we insist on pickin’ fights
Every life’s a fragile flower, every shade was meant to bloom
A little less hate makes a lot more room
bridge
These might be rose colored glasses that I’m lookin’ through
But I pray it’s not too late to see each other’s point of view

@ElvisNash - is that off your deck? or a random video

Off my deck , I live in a mobile home on a lake , I fish during spring and summer , Bit to cold right now . But we have bass tournaments all year , fishermen braving the 35 degree weather . At my age , I could care less on houses lol. I run shorts to promote songs on more views .
Sandy is a perfectionist

That’s cool. Must be more north cal0

Yes in the middle of Calif , we get wildfires every year though , like LA . it's a very poor county , Culture shock from Bay Area . Town holds 2000 people where I'm at . I've always been good on hooks and angles . The getting it all together is hard part , co -writing is always a good idea, 99% songs out of Nashville is co-written . These days probably pop too , Rap is probably mostly artist written , Not sure

I was thinking of moving to central cal, though closer to the ocean.. but that's most likely not to happen :)

Oceans are cold here , unless you move way south , You got 4 million to be on an ocean ? Over priced California. With burned out Malibu. You might get a deal , I dunno

no shit.. the house I grew up in fountain valley, which is southern cal. is worth 1.3.. no, it's not.. massively over priced. worth 1/2 that..

Yup alot of bullshit , for sunny California. I'm out in the sticks , some times I drive 8 hours for business. Seem like a good idea at the time lol . I mostly yell on the phone , Get this job right , or heads will roll , Macho things like that lol. Then switch back to the warm songwriter lol

As always, the market will correct.

Not with me , I'm priced out , that's fine , lake living works. The working man is always priced out . White collar rules , blue collar is punished for being good with their hands , way it is

What a great metaphor - love the broken crayons concept.
And a good message to go with it.
Love the pop vibe, good fit to the lyrics, and immaculate production as always.
Enjoyed this a lot!

Echo RDM, style of music threw me first but then I settled to it and liked the choice.
Everythin' good about it. Well done.

@ElvisNash they say in Bashville that a great song makes its' way. Another lie! But keep on keepin' on, Elvis 'cuz you never know what the universe has in store! And wasn't it you that said something like: a graveyard of dead songs. Still waiting to hear that. Maybe I'll take a stab at it! Lord knows, I got enough of 'em!
